77 years after his passing, Quaid-e-Azam’s ideals guide Pakistan’s path forward

On the solemn occasion of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s 77th death anniversary, Pakistan stands united in reverence, reflecting on the enduring legacy of the man who gave the nation its identity, autonomy, and the freedom to chart its own course.

Across the country, leaders and citizens alike have paid tribute to the Father of the Nation, reaffirming their commitment to the vision he laid for a democratic, just, and tolerant Pakistan.

PRESIDENT ZARDARI REMEMBERS QUAID’S LEGACY

President Asif Ali Zardari, in a moving tribute, reaffirmed the deep and lasting significance of Quaid-e-Azam’s leadership. He reflected on the founder’s vision and said that it remains the guiding star for the nation. “Quaid-e-Azam gave the nation its identity, autonomy, and freedom,” President Zardari said, adding that the two-nation theory, which Quaid-e-Azam so steadfastly championed, continues to resonate, particularly in light of the treatment of minorities in India.

President Zardari urged the nation to continue striving for the ideals that the Quaid embodied – democracy, justice, equality, and tolerance. “We must move forward by following the principles of the Quaid, ensuring that youth are empowered, women are given opportunities, and minorities are protected,” he said.

Drawing attention to the path forward, the President called for a future built on the solid foundation of democracy and the rule of law. “A bright future is only possible when we adhere to the principles of democracy and the rule of law,” he affirmed. He also reiterated that Quaid-e-Azam’s teachings remain a beacon of hope and guidance for Pakistan’s progress.

PM STRESSES COLLECTIVE EFFORT TO FULFILL QUAID’S VISION

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also paid tribute to the Father of the Nation’s unparalleled leadership and selfless struggle for the creation of Pakistan. In his message, the PM hailed Jinnah’s visionary statesmanship, which, despite immense challenges, led to the establishment of an independent homeland for the Muslims of the subcontinent.

“Quaid-e-Azam’s struggle bore fruit in the form of Pakistan, the world’s first Islamic ideological state,” he said, highlighting Jinnah’s commitment to safeguarding the political, religious, economic, and cultural rights of Muslims.

PM Sharif also recalled that despite the daunting challenges of partition, including mass migration, resource scarcity, and administrative hurdles, Quaid-e-Azam laid the foundation of a resilient and strong Pakistan.

The premier called on the nation to reaffirm its commitment to Jinnah’s ideals of democracy, justice, and minority protection, urging a collective national effort to make Pakistan a developed and prosperous nation, true to Quaid-e-Azam’s vision.

SINDH CM PAYS TRIBUTE TO THE FATHER OF THE NATION

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, accompanied by members of the provincial cabinet, laid a wreath at the Quaid’s mausoleum in Karachi, offering Fateha and paying homage to the unparalleled sacrifices and leadership of the man who envisioned a united, sovereign Pakistan.

“The country can only be developed and stabilised through the principles of Quaid-e-Azam,” said the Chief Minister. “The youth, with hard work and determination, must carry forward his dream.” Chief Minister Shah highlighted the importance of unity, faith, and sacrifice as essential elements in realising Quaid-e-Azam’s vision of a prosperous and strong nation.
