Ali Amin Gandapur reaches Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur made a sudden appearance at the Provincial Assembly on Sunday night. Gandapur had been missing from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House in Islamabad on Saturday, but unexpectedly arrived at the assembly this night.
Upon his arrival, members of the assembly raised slogans in support of him.
Addressing the assembly, he said that PTI founder Imran Khan is fighting the nation’s battle. “I am proud of my House and its members. The people stand with Imran Khan.”
Ali Amin said: “I salute the people of Pakistan and pay tribute to them for standing with the PTI founder. Earlier we were stripped of our party symbol.”
He further stated, “PTI has received over 40 million votes as per Form 45. We are not being allowed to hold rallies. We requested permission to hold a rally at Minar-e-Pakistan, but it was denied. Our party was deliberately attacked as part of a plan.”
He also mentioned that he had annouced to reach D-Chowk, and he did so. He said that containers had been placed everywhere while worst shelling carried out against PTI workers.
The KP chief minister said that the KP House in Islamabad was stormed and it was damaged. KP House is the property of the provincial government. It was shelled and fired upon. Those who damaged it should apologise. He asked why they were not being allowed to hold rallies, mentioning that earlier they were allowed to hold a rally in a cattle market in Islamabad, questioning if they were animals.
He said that an FIR would be lodged against the Islamabad police isnspector, who would be summoned to the provincial assembly to seek apology.
“As soon as we reached KP House, the IG Islamabad was at our gate with Rangers,” he said.
He disclosed that he was at KP House on Saturday night, but their vehicles had been taken away, and the on-duty DSP was beaten up. All my guards were also beaten up. If an apology is not sought on this floor, we will file an FIR,” he said adding “I was informed that an FIR had been registered against me.”
He said that “I still don’t know what the FIR against me is about. Let the IG Islamabad explain what my warrant was for.”
“In light of the country’s current situation, I urge you to mend your ways. Even Maulana Fazlur Rahman has now said that our government was sent home under an American conspiracy. We will protect the constitution of this country and stand against anyone who obstructs it,” he said.
“At the moment, I am not Ali Amin but a representative of this province. Madam Maryam, please probe, you said my door was broken in Karachi, who were those people?
He said that JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari were allowed to hold rallies during their government.
Earlier, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Speaker Babar Saleem Swati had issued production orders for Ali Amin Gandapur and other assembly members. He stated that reports had surfaced indicating several members of the assembly were allegedly kidnapped.

In an emergency meeting of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, a resolution concerning the disappearance of Chief Minister Gandapur was passed by a majority vote.
The resolution accused the federal Minister of Interior and the governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa of making false statements regarding the situation. It further called on the KP speaker to seek a detailed report on the matter.
