Allama Iqbal Open University closes admission for autumn semester 2023

ISLAMABAD: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has officially announced the closure of admissions for matriculation and FA programs in the autumn 2023 semester.

The admissions department at AIOU has issued important instructions for students who applied manually and paid the required fees but have not yet submitted their admission forms and supporting documents to the university. These students are urged to send their documents to the university by October 13, 2023. Failure to do so will result in the denial of admission for the current semester, and the responsibility for the delay will lie with the candidates.

For candidates who applied for Matric and FA programs online and have not yet received confirmation of their admission, it is advised to visit the official AIOU website of the university. If there are any objections or issues with their applications, they should promptly address these concerns and upload the necessary documents by October 13th to ensure their admission is confirmed. Delay in this process will result in the non-granting of admission, with students being held accountable for any delays.

It’s important to note that the Vice Chancellor of AIOU, Prof. Dr. Nasir Mahmood, has emphasized the need for all academic and servicing departments to ensure the timely completion of academic activities to better serve the students. In response to this directive, the admission department has expedited the verification process to ensure that the admission procedures are completed within the specified timeframe.

Earlier this month, AIOU announced the date sheet for the spring semester of 2023 for various programs, including Associate Degrees (Arts, Commerce, Education), BBA, BS, and B.Ed.

The examination will take place nationwide from October 16 to December 15, 2023.

The date sheet for the Spring semesters of 2023 for different courses offered by Allama Iqbal Open University is accessible on the university’s official website, and roll number slips are being made available through the students’ CMS portal, as stated in a press release issued on Wednesday.
