According to the petitioner, the incident occurred when they were allegedly abducted from a hotel in Gulshan-e-Iqbal by individuals purportedly in a police van.

The petitioner claimed that they were handcuffed, subjected to torture, and taken to a police station near Pakistan Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC). They also alleged that their fingerprints were taken on plain paper and they were coerced into making a video statement of their choice.

The petitioner stated that during their ordeal, they were asked to pay a substantial sum of money for their release. Initially, an amount of Rs500,000 was demanded. However, an agreement was reached to settle for Rs250,000.

The petitioner claimed they were then taken to the Gora Cemetery with their faces covered dropped off at the location. The citizen then returned to their car and went home.

The citizen claims a person believed to be a CTD official accompanied them in the vehicle.

The petitioner said they were forced to withdraw Rs200,000 from an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) of a private bank and hand it over to a person named Sohail. The citizen said that they were reportedly threatened with further kidnapping if they did not pay an additional Rs300,000.
