LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) National Central Bureau (NCB) Interpol has arrested the third suspect wanted in the Ameer Balaj murder case.
On February 19, 2024 Ameer Balaj, the son of the late underworld figure Tipu Truckanwala, was shot dead by a gunman disguised as a guest at a wedding ceremony in Lahore.
According to an FIA spokesperson, the Interpol had issued a Red Notice for the arrest of suspect Bilawal, who was then arrested from Oman.

Bilawal was wanted by the Punjab Police for his involvement in the Balaj murder case and a case against him had been registered at Lahore’s Chung Police Station.
The accused had fled abroad last year to evade arrest.
After his capture, FIA Immigration Lahore handed him over to Punjab Police for further legal action.
Last week a District and Sessions court in Lahore charged accused Haroon and Sohail Mehmood in the Ameer Balaj Tipu murder case.
The court has summoned witnesses for testimony on February 11.
Gogi Butt, Teefi Butt, and Bilawal had been declared absconders
Notably, Ameer Balaj’s father, Tipu Truckanwala, was also killed in a gun attack at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport in 2010.
