Anchor Imran Riaz Khan returns home

YouTuber and anchorperson Imran Riaz Khan, has reached home after over four months of disappearance. Early on Monday morning, Punjab Inspector General (IG) Dr. Usman Anwar confirmed that Riaz is now “safe at home.” This development was also confirmed by Sialkot District Police Officer (DPO) Hassan Iqbal and Riaz’s lawyer, Mian Ali Ashfaq.

Riaz was apprehended just two days after the violent protests that occurred on May 9. He was initially taken into custody at the Cantt police station and later transferred to Sialkot prison. Concerned for his son’s safety, Riaz’s father filed a plea with the Lahore High Court (LHC) requesting his recovery.

On May 15, the Lahore High Court (LHC) was informed that Riaz had been released from jail after taking an undertaking in writing. However, he has returned home today (September 25) according to a social media post by his lawer Mian Ali Ashfaq.

Ashfaq said in a post on X, “By God’s special blessing, grace, and mercy, I have brought back my prince”.

The lawyer added, “Despite the unspeakable circumstances, Allah Almighty showed us this best day. Only limitless gratitude right now.”
