ANP leader’s 10 million ring stolen; cook goes missing

ISLAMABAD: A diamond ring worth Rs 10 million, belonging to Awami National Party (ANP) leader Samar Haroon Bilour has been stolen, according to reports.

She is the daughter-in-law of former federal minister and ANP leader late Bashir Bilour.

According to the FIR registered at Kohsar police station of Islamabad on the complaint of Samar, the ring had been gifted to her by her late husband Haroon Bashir Bilour.

She said she was wearing that ring when she had gone to a party. “When I returned home, I removed it from my finger and put it on a table. However, afterwards it was nowhere to be seen,” read the FIR.

She further stated that the entry of unconcerned persons in her home was banned. “I have five servants in my home,” she said, and requested the police to interrogate them so that the ring could be recovered.

Police, after registering the case, have started the investigation.

On the other hand, brother of the servant working at Samar’s home has also submitted an application to the SSP Operation Office and Kohsar police station in which he has said that his brother Irfan has been working as a cook at the ex-MPA’s home for the last 10 years. “A few days ago, my brother told me over telephone that his madam was mentally disturbed since her ring had gone missing,” read the application.

He has further said that a few days later he received a message from his brother who told him that his madam had locked him in a room. “And when I reached the bungalow from Kot Addu, the guard told me that his brother had been whisked away.  Therefore, I request the police to recover my brother.” – INP
