Honour killing: Bugti seeks probe into woman, man murdering incident

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti on Sunday evening directed the authorities concerned to conduct a swift probe into the honour killing incident of a man and a woman.
A video that is widely circulated on various social media platforms and has triggered nationwide outrages, shows the apparent murder of two individuals in an undisclosed location.
The video clip sparked public anger who perceived the murder as honour killing, calling for an urgent investigation of this matter.
Meanwhile, chief minister Bugti has directed the law enforcement agencies to locate the crime scene with no delays in arresting the culprits involved into this heinous crime, the CM’s secretariat office mentioned.

“The rule of law will not be compromised. Those who challenge the writ of the state will be dealt with firmly. No one will be allowed to take the law into their own hands,” Bugti clarified.
Shahid Rind, the government’s spokesperson, condemned the two victims’ murder, saying about them “reprehensible on every level” and a “grave insult to societal values and human dignity”.
The spokesperson Rind has assured the public of a swift investigation by the provincial government into the matter, reaffirming of all the legal steps into the matter providing justice.
“The Balochistan government will not remain a silent spectator in the face of such cruelty. All legal means will be used to bring those responsible to justice,” Rind clarified.
Additionally, the Bugt’s government has called the public for a sincere assistance in identifying the suspects.
