Balochistan to revive 3,700 inactive schools

QUETTA: The provincial government of Balochistan decided to revive 3,700 schools that have been inactive for several years throughout the country’s largest province.
The initiative will address the persistent issue of teacher shortage affecting several districts in the country’s least populated province.

As reported by the Balochistan Education Department the largest concentration of the closed education institutes was found in Pishin, with 254 schools, followed by Khuzdar with 251 and Quetta with 152.
To support the reopening efforts, the education department plans to hire teachers on a contractual basis.
Interested candidates can submit their applications for teaching roles until October 11.
The selection process will be managed by a committee under the guidance of deputy commissioners (DC) in each district.
The provincial govemrent also announced that it has successfully reopened 40 schools in Pishin and Awaran districts.

This paints a position advancement in improving educational opportunities in one of least developed regions of Pakistan.
