Brace for increase in petrol prices after Eid

ISLAMABAD: Petrol and diesel prices are expected to increase in the next fortnightly review on April 16 2024 due to the increase in global oil prices and the government’s plan to increase taxes on all petroleum products.
It is expected that petroleum prices will increase by than Rs 8 per liter, sources familiar with the development claimed.
OGDCL strikes new tight gas reserves in Sindh
With the expected increase in fuel prices, the price of petrol will increase to Rs 298 per liter from April 16, which is currently Rs 289.40 per liter.
Furthermore, diesel prices are also poised to increase, with an estimated increase of around Rs 2 per litre.
After this the diesel rate will jump to Rs 284.24 per litre, up from its current standing of Rs 282 per litre.
Unofficial reports have claimed that the Pakistani government is planning to increase petrol prices due to the devaluation of the rupee and the tense geopolitical situation in the Middle East.
