ISLAMABAD: A special meeting of the Federal Cabinet has been called tomorrow. The Cabinet will approve the budget proposals for the next financial year (FY2025-2026).

The Finance Bill will be presented to the National Assembly after getting approval from the Federal Cabinet.
The Cabinet will also give final approval to the proposals related to the increase in salaries and pensions of government employees.
The meeting has been called tomorrow at 4 PM at the Parliament House.
Today, the Ministry of Finance issued the Economic Survey 2024-2025, showing that the country’s economy has come out of the recessionary pressures. The survey data shows that while initially the economy remained under pressure, now there are positive indictors emerging from multiple areas.
While some sectors, primarily large-scale manufacturing (LSM) and agricultural sectors, showed restrictive performance, the service sector and the automobile sectors more than offset the effect. The per capital income also showed notable increase, as the inflation went down markedly.

Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb addressed the event of launch of the Economic Survey and shared that the focus in the upcoming fiscal year will be on debt management and to provide an ecosystem for the economy to grow.
