Buzdar summoned in excess assets case


LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has summoned the former Punjab Chief Minister, Usman Buzdar, on July 10, as part of an ongoing investigation into the case of assets in excess of income.

This marks the 14th time that NAB Lahore has issued a summons notice to Buzdar, seeking his cooperation in the probe.

Sources within NAB Lahore revealed that Usman Buzdar has only appeared in the NAB office on two occasions so far. The anti-corruption watchdog has been relentless in its pursuit of answers from the former chief minister, as it continues to delve into the details surrounding the alleged discrepancies between Buzdar’s assets and income.

As part of the investigation, NAB Lahore has also requested Usman Buzdar to provide responses to a range of inquiries. These questions aim to shed light on various aspects of the case and are intended to assist in uncovering any potential irregularities.
