Cases filed against unknown terrorists for Mastung and Hangu blasts

QUETTA: Cases related to the blasts in Mastung and Hangu have been registered against unidentified terrorists.

According to sources, a case of suicide blast in Mastung has been filed at the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Police Station in Quetta. The police spokesperson confirmed that a case related to the suicide bombing attack has been registered against the unknown terrorists.

The sources indicated that the charges in the case include murder, attempted murder, terrorism, and violations of the Explosive Substances Act. Investigations are currently underway following the explosion, although no arrests have been made so far.

Meanwhile, a case has been filed against two unidentified motorcyclists who initiated gunfire in Hangu explosion. Security personnel responded with retaliatory fire. Present at the scene, Police officer Saeed ur Rahman managed to disarm one of the terrorists.

It is important to note that on September 29, two terrorist attacks took place. A terrorist attack occurred at a mosque within a police station in Hangu. During the attack, terrorists targeted police officers outside the mosque, while another group attempted to enter the mosque but was repelled. The explosion resulted in the tragic loss of five lives and multiple injuries, causing damage to the mosque’s roof.

Concurrently, on the same day, a blast in Mastung, Balochistan, claimed the lives of over 50 individuals, including Deputy Superintendent Police (DSP), and left more than 50 others injured.
