However, over a 100 police officers failed to show up for their duty. As a result, the provincial government took action and dismissed all of them from their positions.

This has happened for the first time in the history of Lahore, that such a high number of police officers have been dismissed at once.

The said officers belonged to the Anti-Riot Force of the police and they were reportedly absent from their duty. Lahore Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations issued the dismissal orders.

The police sources shared that the details of the dismissed officers have also been recorded in the official report.
