Chicken prices go up by Rs23 in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: The cost of chicken in Islamabad has experienced a surge, witnessing a notable increase of Rs23. Presently, chicken meat is being sold at Rs710 per kilogram.

The wholesale rate for live broiler chicken has climbed to Rs424 per kilogram, with the retail price reaching Rs440 per kilogram. In Islamabad, the current selling price for chicken stands at Rs455 per kilogram.

Meanwhile, the cost of broiler chicken meat has surged by Rs23 per kilogram, reaching Rs638 per kg.

Simultaneously, the escalating trend is impacting egg prices, with a dozen eggs now priced at Rs402. The increase amounts to Rs16 per kilogram for live broiler chicken, reflecting a substantial rise across meat and egg categories.
