Chitral residents stand with Pak Army against terrorism

CHITRAL: The residents of Chitral district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) have expressed their support to the Pakistan Army.

According to sources, the people of Chitral are providing weapons and food to the Pakistan Army soldiers on the front lines. Moreover, they have expressed their willingness to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Pakistan Army in combat.

The sources indicated that the local leaders convened a Jirga with the FC Wing Commander to discuss matters concerning law and order in the region. During the gathering, the local community wholeheartedly pledged their unwavering cooperation to the Pakistan Army.

Meanwhile, the residents vehemently condemned acts of terrorism perpetrated by the Tehreek-e-Taliban-e-Pakistan (TTP), reaffirming their allegiance to peace and security.

It is pertinent to note that a few days ago in the Kalash area of Chitral, the Pakistan Army successfully prevented terrorists from attacking their posts. During the operation, 12 terrorists were eliminated, but four soldiers martyred in the line of duty.
