Islamabad: D-Chowk in Islamabad has been reopened for traffic after authorities removed the containers that had been blocking the area for five days due to Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf (PTI) protests.
The cellular services and roads were blocked on Friday following PTI’s call to protest at the D-Chowk against the controversial constitutional amendment, and for the release of Imran Khan.
Alongside, Jinnah Avenue has also been cleared and opened for public traffic.
The road closures had caused significant disruptions in the capital, but normal traffic flow has now resumed.

The removal of the containers from the D-Chowk has brought relief to commuters who had faced challenges navigating alternative routes during the protests.
Authorities have ensured that the situation remains under control, and traffic flow is being monitored to prevent further disruptions.
