ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has decided to approach the Supreme Court once again, following the issuance of a detailed decision concerning the allocation of reserved seats.

According to sources, the ECP is considering filing a separate application to seek further clarification on the matter.
Previously, three review petitions were submitted to the Supreme Court by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP), and the ECP, challenging the interim decision issued on July 12.
On Monday (yesterday), the Supreme Court, in its detailed ruling, directed the ECP to notify Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidates for the respective reserved seats in the National and Provincial Assemblies.
