During a Senate session, Tarar responded to a point of order raised by PTI Senator Shibli Faraz, saying that the CDA had issued its first notice to the PTI central secretariat in 2020. He elaborated that the notice had addressed the illegal construction of two floors and the occupation of public areas with containers and parking sheds.

Tarar noted that the PTI did not respond to the CDA’s notices, including the final notice sent on May 10, 2024.

BACKGROUND

In the early hours of Friday, CDA officials and police sealed the premises and partially demolished sections of the headquarters, including four walls and poles used for party flags.
