After the police arrived, the attackers also opened gunfire on them, which eventually resulted in two attackers neutralised.

Initial police reports say that there were three attackers who have been identified as terrorists, SSP Mastoi said, adding that it appears one of the attackers killed himself during the attack.

“During the chaos, one assailant was neutralised in the suicide blast, while another met his fate in the ensuing shootout with law enforcement,” revealed SSP Malir.

However, the third suspect managed to evade capture and is currently on the run, prompting a widespread search operation across the city.

A bag containing a cache of hand grenades was also discovered at the scene of the incident.
