Female judge threat case: Judge deplores absence of PTI chairman’s lawyer

ISLAMABAD: The district and sessions court in Islamabad adjourned the hearing of the female judge threat case against the PTI Chairman due to the absence of senior defence lawyer Salman Safdar.

Civil Judge Muhammad Murid Abbas presided over the Saturday session and expressed his discontent over the delay.

The prosecutor Rizwan Abbas was ready to present arguments but the judge emphasised that arguments would be presented only in the presence of the absent defence lawyer.

The judge lamented that he could not hear another case when this case had been fixed for hearing.

 “I’m sitting free today. I’m costing dearly to the high court as my per day wages are Rs13,000,” he said sarcastically.

He said that there were four cases of the PTI chairman and ‘my entire day goes wasted’.

With this, the judge adjourned the case hearing till November 28
