Fire at Karachi shopping center extinguished

KARACHI: A fire that erupted in a shopping center near Karachi’s Empress Market located in the Saddar area of the provincial capital has been extinguished.

Firefighters arrived at the scene and took part to extinguish the blaze that engulfed the commercial building. After efforts of many hours they managed to extinguished the fire.

Mysterious fire destroys more than 30 vehicles in Karachi

More than 50 vehicles and motorcycles were parked in the basement of the shopping center which were destroyed, according to the firefighters.

Firefighters reported that the basement lacked any firefighting equipment, which worsened the situation.

The cause of the fire is not known while there were no immediate reports of casualties.
