KARACHI: A fire erupted on the ninth floor of the Kashif Center on Shahrah-e-Faisal in Karachi. Emergency services have swiftly responded, with the fire brigade currently working to extinguish the blaze.
Evacuation efforts are underway to ensure the safety of all occupants. The situation remains dynamic, and further updates will follow as the fire brigade continues its efforts.
Ten fire tenders and a snorkel are engaged in extinguishing the fire, according to fire brigade officials. People trapped in the building are being evacuated as quickly as possible.
The building houses offices of lawyers and other professionals. Multiple people trapped in the building were successfully evacuated by the fire brigade. The condition of one evacuated person is critical, and they have been shifted to a hospital for further care.
There is a possibility that more people remain inside the building. Smoke can be seen billowing from the 8th, 9th, and 10th floors, complicating the rescue and firefighting efforts.
