Fitna-ul-Khawarij attacks foiled in Bajaur, Bannu

PESHAWAR: During late hours, last night Fitna-ul-Khawarij attempted to carry out attacks in Bajaur and Bannu districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Terrorist attacked two police stations in Bajaur and Bannu. Both attacks were foiled by the quick response of police officials, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General of Police (IGP) Zulfiqar Hameed said on Tuesday.

Police repelled the attacks and are chasing the terrorists, IGP Hameed added.

Police officials fought bravely and repelled the attacks. The IGP has also announced rewards for police officials to encourage them in pursuit of this mission.

INTERIOR MINISTER COMMENDS KP POLICE

On Tuesday morning, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi issued a statement commending Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police for repelling Khawarij terrorists’ attack on Bannu’s Miryan police station.

“I pay tribute to the police team for foiling the attack,” he said, adding, “The brave men of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police have bravely repelled Khawarij terrorists’ attacks before too.”

He said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police gave a befitting reply to the terrorists, in a very professional manner and foiled their nefarious intentions.

“I am proud of the brave and professional men of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police,” Mohsin Naqvi said.
