Five-day anti-polio campaign kicks off in KP

PESHAWAR: A five-day anti-polio campaign has started in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with the goal to vaccinate over seven million children.

In the first phase of the campaign, children in Kohat, Mardan, Malakand, Hazara divisions will be administered drops, a statement from Emergency Operation Center (EOC) said.

Educational activities resume in Punjab schools

Anti-polio campaign in Bannu and Dera Ismail Khan Division will continue from October 9 to 13. The children living in all Afghan refugee camps will also be given polio vaccines, EOC said.

More than 34,000 teams of workers have been formed for the campaign, with over 54,000 police personnel deployed for their security, EOC said.
