Four-member team from India reached Pakistan, Russia’s delegation of 76 members landed as well
ISLAMABAD: The arrival of foreign delegations for the upcoming Islamabad-Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) meeting has begun, with several key participants already landing in Pakistan, according to sources.
A four-member official delegation from India has reached Pakistan, marking its attendance at the high-profile event. Additionally, a large Russian delegation consisting of 76 members has also arrived at Islamabad Airport.
Metro bus service suspended in twin cities for SCO summit
Representatives from other SCO member countries have touched down as well, including seven officials from the Shanghai Cooperation Organization itself, alongside a 15-member delegation from China. Four representatives from Kyrgyzstan, and two from Iran have also arrived in the capital.
All the visiting dignitaries were escorted to Islamabad under strict security measures, airport sources confirmed.
SCO summit is scheduled to be held on October 14-17 in Islamabad.
