FIRING REPORTED OUTSIDE PHC
Yesterday, a similar incident occurred in the vicinity of the Peshawar High Court (PHC), when a gunman opened fire on a detained accused and a policeman.
The injured were shifted to hospital where the policeman’s condition was said to be stable, while the accused was reported in critical condition.

The incident occurred when the accused was being shifted to jail after appearing in court, the police said, adding that the gunman who fired in PHC has also been apprehended.
According to police sources, the gunman allegedly opened fire to avenge his brother’s murder—the very case for which the detained accused had appeared in court.
