ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has postponed the cause list of scheduled hearings for the upcoming week, including a defamation case involving the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry.
On Sunday, the ECP revealed that the cases initially set for hearing on March 19, 20 and 21 have been delisted from the schedule. Notably, the ECP had earmarked March 21 for the hearing of the defamation case against Imran Khan.

While the reasons behind the postponement were not explicitly stated, it is anticipated that the ECP will issue a revised cause list soon.
The postponement comes at a crucial juncture, especially as post-indictment proceedings were expected to commence against both Imran Khan and Fawad Chaudhry. Both the accused were charged while being held at Adiala Jail.
