IHC seeks govt’s clarification on potential military trial for Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday requested clarification from the federal government regarding the possibility of a military trial for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan.
The court expressed serious concerns about the potential trial of a civilian in a military court, highlighting that this issue is of significant concern to both the petitioner and the judiciary.
During the hearing, Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb called Assistant Attorney General Azmat Bashir Tarar to the stand, instructing him to consult with the Attorney General’s office and provide a definitive response to the court.

The court adjourned the hearing pending clarification from the Attorney General’s Office.
