Imran Khan offers ‘conditional apology’ over May 9

Imran Khan apology

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday demanded that the footage related to May 9 events should be made public and if any of his party workers were found involved he would apologise.

Imran Khan while talking to journalists said that he would himself expel people from the party if they were found involved in the May 9 incidents.

She claimed that the PTI of the workers had nothing to do with the May 9 events.

May 9 is a pivotal date in the country’s political landscape, marking the anniversary of last year’s attack on military installations that occurred after Imran Khan’s arrest at the Islamabad High Court. This incident triggered a harsh state crackdown against him and his party.

The PTI chief has repeatedly disassociated his party from the protests, claiming that the riots were premeditated and orchestrated to justify a crackdown on the opposition party.
