ISLAMABAD: Social media influencer and TikToker Imsha Rehman claimed in a recent video that Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) have arrested a man accused of creating and circulating her explicit videos.

Imasha’s alleged obscene videos went viral across various social media platforms in November 2024, after which she deactivated her accounts and disappeared from the social media.

While Imsha Rehman’s fans defended her, vast majority have been blaming the victim of a possible deepfake (fake videos created using artificial intelligence, or AI for short) as having released the video herself for ‘cheap publicity’!

Speaking to Nukta, she claimed that the suspect responsible for fabricating the videos and images had been apprehended and sent to jail.

Imasha Rehman said that after the videos went viral, it felt as though her life had come to an end. “I saw the video, and my life is completely ruined. I can’t go to university or face people anymore. I’ve started receiving death threats.”

She further said that “I could have simply issued a denial on social media, but I chose instead to take legal action against those responsible for the fake content,” she added.

Imsha Rehman said she filed a complaint with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), which promptly arrested the suspect.

Commended the agency, she said, “Our FIA has the potential to take strong action against those who spread such filth on social media.”

Highlighting the damaging impact fabricated content, Imsha Rehman said, “People on social media think making and sharing videos of others is entertaining, but they fail to understand how it can devastate someone’s life.”

The suspect, identified as Abdul Aziz from Gujranwala, reportedly claimed during interrogation that he had merely created a meme. Authorities have not disclosed further details about the case.
