Pakistan is celebrating its 77th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour across the nation today. A series of events, including gun salutes, flag hoisting ceremonies, and special prayers, were organised to honour the historic occasion and commemorate the sacrifices of the nation’s founders.
The day commenced with a 31-gun salute in the federal capital, Islamabad. All four provincial capitals—Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, and Quetta—echoed the spirit of the day with 21-gun salutes each. Special prayers were offered after the Fajr prayer, seeking blessings for the country’s development, unity, peace, and security.
