Indian Forces plan ‘fake encounters’ of illegally detained Pakistanis

India Pakistan

WEB DESK: Indian forces are allegedly planning to stage “fake encounters” involving Pakistani nationals illegally detained in various jails and secret facilities, security sources revealed on Saturday.

According to intelligence reports, dozens of Pakistanis are being held unlawfully by Indian military and intelligence agencies. These individuals may be killed in staged shootouts in occupied Kashmir and later framed as “terrorists infiltrating from Pakistan.”

The sources stated that after these fake encounters, Indian media would be provided with videos of the bodies and planted weapons to reinforce the false narrative. Some detainees might also be coerced into issuing anti-Pakistan statements or false confessions.

This tactic appears aimed at fabricating pretexts for aggression against Pakistan. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has previously disclosed that at least 723 Pakistanis remain in illegal Indian custody, with 56 held by intelligence agencies under questionable circumstances.

On April 24, two civilians from Azad Kashmir were killed by Indian forces after accidentally crossing the border. Indian troops have long faced accusations of staging fake encounters in occupied Kashmir.

Security analysts warn that such actions could escalate tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbors. No official response has yet been issued by Indian authorities regarding these allegations.
