Interior minister announces five facilitation initiatives for Islamabad’s residents

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has announced five initiatives aimed at improving services for the residents of the federal capital territory.

During a visit to the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Headquarters in Islamabad, Naqvi outlined the establishment of Capital Emergency Services, Capital Waste Management Company, Capital Safe City Authority, and Central Business District. He also announced the creation of Capital Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) to enhance public convenience.

Naqvi stated that these measures are part of efforts to transform Islamabad into a model city. In a meeting with the staff of Ambulance Service 1122 and Fire Brigade, he urged them to carry out their duties responsibly.

Extreme heat persists nationwide

He mentioned that the ambulance, fire brigade, and rescue services will be integrated under the new Capital Emergency Services, and the number of ambulances will be increased.
