Authorities are currently investigating the issue to determine the precise cause of the nationwide disruption. However, no media statement has been made by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) or the telecom providers.

However, social media users have been sharing their thoughts on the potential reasons for this outage, with many suggesting that the problem may be related to international traffic issues rather than local network failures.

However, Meta platforms such including WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram have been operating without much issues. Landline internet services have also been reported to be performing pretty much like usual, as opposed to cellular services.
