Islamabad police force promotes 385 officials

ISLAMABAD: “There is no official in Islamabad Police anymore, everyone is an officer”, announced IG Ali Nasir Rizvi on Friday.
Addressing the media, IG Rizvi highlighted the collective efforts of the force, stating, “We performed our duties together for 50 days, working tirelessly day and night for up to 22 hours to improve policing in Islamabad.”

Under the leadership of IG Ali Nasir Rizvi, Islamabad Police have enhanced security measures and made strides in curbing criminal activities in the capital. “We have implemented effective strategies including strengthening the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Special Branch, and improving patrolling,” stated IG Rizvi, saying that these efforts have led to a reduction in crime rates.
Highlighting the force’s commitment to tackling narcotics and illegal weapons, IG Rizvi mentioned, “We have intensified efforts against narcotics trafficking and illegal weapons possession. Display of weapons has been strictly regulated, and measures are being taken to eliminate illegal weapons from circulation.”
As a result of these efforts and achievements, 385 officers have been promoted to various positions within the force, as announced by a police spokesman. “The promotions recognise the dedication and hard work of our officers,” stated the spokesman, adding that the promotion process for Deputy Superintendents (DSPs) and Superintendents (SPs) will soon commence.

Furthermore, officers who demonstrated exceptional performance were acknowledged and awarded for their contributions to maintaining law and order in the capital.
