Islamabad Police rescues two kidnapped men

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police successfully rescued two abducted individuals in a major operation carried out within the jurisdiction of Karachi Company Police Station.

According to a police spokesperson, eight suspects involved in multiple cases of kidnapping and street crimes were also arrested during the raid.

The police on a tip-off raided a camp , where the hostages were being kept. Modern technology, safe city cameras and human resources were effectively used to recover the hostages, the police spokesperson said.

During the raid, the suspects opened fire on the police raiding party, however,due to the protective gear used by the police they remained safe

During the police counter-operation, one suspect was injured in the firing and is being provided medical assistance.

The police have also recovered the weapons and ammunition used in the incidents from the scene.

The arrested suspects are being interrogated to reveal more details regarding their operation and whereabouts of other suspects involved.

DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq congratulated the team for this successful operation and announced cash rewards.

He said that Islamabad Police is a hard-working, professional and modernly resourced force, which will continue to take all possible steps to protect the public.

The DIG appealed to the public to fully cooperate with law enforcement agencies so that the city can be kept crime-free.
