Islamabad protest: Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi booked on terrorism charges

RAWALPINDI: A case has been registered against Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi, and several other party leaders on terrorism charges.
The case has been registered at the Sadiqabad police station in connection with the recent protest in Islamabad against the PTI leaders.
Among those named in the case are PTI leaders Aleema Khan, Ali Amin Gandapur, and Omar Ayub, along with Shehryar Riaz, Hammad Azhar, Asad Qaiser and former president Arif Alvi has also been nominated.
PTI leadership, hundreds of workers booked in nine FIRs
The FIR includes charges of attempted murder, interference in official duties, and other serious offenses.
The case accuses PTI workers of inciting unrest at the Faizabad checkpoint by burning tires, blocking roads, and disrupting traffic. The FIR alleges that the suspects attacked police personnel, tearing a constable’s uniform in the process.
The police are investigating the incident, which is being seen as a significant development in the ongoing crackdown on PTI protests.
