ISLAMABAD: After a 5-hour hiatus, rain once again commenced in Islamabad and Rawalpindi around 6:20 am, as dark clouds began to loom over the twin cities.
The precipitation in the federal capital has dissipated the lingering fog, significantly enhancing visibility. This improvement follows multiple instances of rain in the capital city throughout the week.
At present, the air quality index in Islamabad appears to have ameliorated post-rain, with indications from some weather forecasting platforms suggesting a reduction in air pollution within the capital.
As of 6:30 am, the temperature in Islamabad was recorded at 7 degrees Celsius, and proper rainfall is anticipated after 10 AM, according to AccuWeather.
This positive shift in air quality is a promising development, considering Islamabad has grappled with poor air quality for weeks, previously categorised as “unhealthy.” However, AccuWeather now classifies the air quality as “fair.”
