Weather update: Islamabad, surrounding areas to remain cold and dry

ISLAMABAD: The weather in Islamabad and nearby areas is expected to remain cold and dry, as per the Pakistan Meteorological Department, however, other parts of the country will see different weather patterns.
Balochistan
In Balochistan, places like Ziarat, Pishin, Zhob, Sherani, and Musakhel are likely to see a mix of rain and snowfall. Similarly, Barkhan and Khuzdar may receive rain with snowfall expected over the surrounding mountains.
Punjab
Foggy conditions are set to affect parts of Punjab, including Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, Gujrat, and Lahore.
Areas like Kasur, Okara, Hafizabad, Jhang, Faisalabad, and Bahawalpur are also likely to experience a mix of fog and smog, reducing visibility.
Sindh
In Sindh, regions such as Kashmore, Sukkur, Jacobabad, and Tando Jam can expect smog and fog, which could disrupt travel.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Rain is expected in areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, Mansehra, Abbottabad, and Kohistan.
The forecast also includes showers for Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera, Kurram, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai, and Hangu, with some areas in Kohat likely to experience thunderstorms along with gusty winds.

Scattered rain and snow are predicted in Gilgit-Baltistan, while a few areas in Azad Kashmir could see rain, strong winds, and thunderstorms.
