KP govt removes members of sanitation boards


PESHAWAR: At least 15 board members of various water and sanitation services including the Water and Sanitation Services Peshawar (WSSP) have been removed from their slots.

Sources said that WSSP Chairman Rizwan Bangash and nine other members of the board have also been removed.

In total, up to 15 members of various boards including Peshawar and Swat boards have been relieved in the light of a decision of the caretaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet.

According to the sources, most members of the WSSP board were inducted by the by the former ruling party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, and Bangash was also a candidate for the slot of Peshawar mayor when the PTI was in power.
