Kanwal Shauzab slams Aleema Khan in leaked video

ISLAMABAD: PTI’s Women Wing Islamabad President Kanwal Shauzab has launched a scathing attack, in a leaked video, on Aleema Khan, sister of party founder Imran Khan, sparking fresh intra-party tensions.

A video circulating on social media from a recent PTI Zoom meeting has surfaced in which Kanwal Shauzab strongly criticizes Aleema Khan’s remarks.

 “PTI is our family. It hurt me when Aleema Khan said, ‘Who is Gohar?’ If party positions don’t matter to you, who will respect the party?” Kanwal Shauzab asked in the leaked video.

She also questioned Aleema’s role in party affairs, saying, “Who is she to call someone a clerk? If Aleema Khan wants to do politics, she should openly announce it. Whenever I meet her, I’ll confront her.”

Imran Khan’s sons appeal to Trump for justice

The rift between PTI president Gohar Ali Khan and Aleema Khan is nothing new. Last year the two also had a public falling out over the  unverified number of casualties during the November 24 protest.

PTI, once a strong political force that vowed to bring change, is now caught in internal fights. With Imran Khan sidelined, leaders are battling for control and influence within the party.
