Karachi fire update: situation under control, investigation underway

KARACHI: The fire incident at the Kashif Center on Shahrah-e-Faisal has been brought under control. Emergency services have successfully managed the blaze, and the process of cooling is currently in progress within the building. Authorities have also commenced a thorough search of all the offices in the building.

Earlier today, a fire erupted on the ninth floor of the Kashif Center on Shahrah-e-Faisal in Karachi. Smoke billowed from the 8th, 9th, and 10th floors.

Emergency services responded swiftly, with the fire brigade actively working to extinguish the blaze. Evacuation efforts were immediately initiated to ensure the safety of all occupants.

Ten fire tenders and a snorkel were deployed to extinguish the fire, according to fire brigade officials. People trapped in the building were being evacuated as quickly as possible.

Out of the evacuated people, one person’s condition is said to be critical who has been shifted to a hospital for further care.
