Sindh schools summer holidays from June 1

Karachi has been experiencing unusually high temperatures, which have raised concerns about the well-being of students and examination staff.

Twenty-one higher secondary schools were designated as examination centers for the Intermediate exams. According to the Chairman, these centers were initially scheduled to host Intermediate exams in the morning and Matric exams in the evening.

However, due to the prevailing hot weather conditions, the Matric exams have been postponed. The revised schedule aims to provide relief to students during the extreme weather, ensuring a more manageable examination environment.

Earlier in response to the severe heatwave alert in Sindh, the Board of Secondary Education in Karachi has announced the postponement of the ongoing matriculation exams.

The exams, initially scheduled between May 21 and 27, have been deferred to ensure the safety and well-being of the students.

The decision to postpone the exams was made following directives from the minister of education boards, who emphasized the importance of protecting students from the extreme heat conditions. The heatwave has been forecast to bring dangerously high temperatures, prompting authorities to take precautionary measures.
