Lahore: Underage driver runs over three motorcyclists

LAHORE: A tragic incident in Lahore’s Shahdara area claimed a life after an underage driver, driving a car without a licence or supervision, ran over three motorcyclists.

According to eyewitnesses, the 11 year old child lost control of the car and hit the riders. One motorcyclist died on the spot, while two others were seriously injured and shifted to the hospital for treatment.

Police reached the scene, took the vehicle into custody, and detained the minor driver. An FIR has been registered at Shahdara Town Police Station on the complaint of the deceased’s brother. Attempted murder sections have also been included in the case.

Officials said an investigation is underway, and the boy’s parents are also being questioned over allowing a minor to drive.

Citizens and social media users have strongly condemned the incident, urging authorities to take strict action against underage driving and hold parents accountable to prevent such tragedies in the future.
