Late night police encounters in Karachi lead to multiple arrests

KARACHI: In a series of alleged police encounters across Karachi on Thursday, a total of five suspects have been arrested.

According to sources, two individuals were wounded during a police encounter near Nagan Chowrangi.

The sources said that the injured accused managed to evade custody. During the encounter, the police personnel also got injured.

As per the sources, the injured police personnel, part of the Shaheen Force, sustained gunshot wounds to the leg.

Meanwhile, in a separate encounter in Sohrab Goth, a wounded suspect was arrested by the police.

According to the sources, the accused was promptly transferred to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medical attention. The police official said that they recovered weapons, a motorcycle, and a sum of cash during the operation.

In another incident, a police encounter occurred near Orangi Town German School.

The sources told HUM News that two suspects were arrested, with one sustaining injuries during the exchange of gunfire.

As per the police officials, weapons and a motorcycle have been recovered from the possession of the accused.
