LDA seals properties for parking rules violations

LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA), in partnership with the Traffic Engineering and Planning Agency (TEPA), carried out a major operation to enforce parking regulations and remove illegal signboards in Gulberg, Lahore.

This joint effort targeted businesses on Main Boulevard, College Road, and MM Alam Road.

During the operation, LDA and TEPA teams sealed more than a dozen properties for violating parking regulations.

Among the sealed properties were parking areas associated with plazas, cloth shops, bakeries, shoe stores, money exchanges, and office buildings.

The enforcement teams had previously issued notices to these businesses, warning them of impending action if they did not comply with the regulations.

In addition to sealing properties for parking violations, the teams removed illegal signboards from over two dozen buildings.

These included signboards on plazas, offices, restaurants, cloth and jewellery stores, pizza shops, parlours, and private banks, among others.

The operation was led by the Chief Engineer of TEPA, Iqrar Hussain, and the Director of Enforcement for LDA, Furqan Zaheer. According to officials, a total of 36 properties were targeted during this enforcement drive.

LDA stressed that the crackdown was part of its ongoing efforts to ensure compliance with city planning and traffic regulations.
