LG polls: PTI wins three seats in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: The provisional results of the local government elections in Peshawar have revealed a diverse and inconclusive set of outcomes, with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf winning three seats.

Hum News has obtained the unofficial election results for all six village and neighborhood councils of Peshawar.

Out of the six seats in Peshawar, the PTI secured victory in three, according to unofficial results. The notable wins for PTI were Ghari Banat Wana, Ghari Fazal Khaliq and Nodhia Bala, where its candidates emerged victorious.

On the other hand, the Village Council Regi Yusufzai seat was claimed by the candidate from Jamaat-e-Ulema Islam-Fazal.

Moreover, the Maroof Zai seat saw a victory for the candidate from the Awami National Party, according to unofficial results.

The Ghari Banat IV seat was won by an independent candidate, while another success story unfolded with the Awami National Party candidate securing a win for the Ghari Banat V seat.

In Shangla district, the Awami National Party secured a decisive victory, leading by a substantial margin of 250 votes.

In Laki Marwat’s UC Bigah Tajah Zai general seat, Taj Ali Khan clinched success by securing a total of 340 votes, according to the official election results.

Khan Zaman came second with 257 votes, followed by Muhammad Rizwan with 236 votes.

Muhammad Tahir won the UC Shahab Khel youth seat with 963 votes, followed by Rizwan Allah with 796 votes.

The Tattarkhel youth seat witnessed an intense competition, resulting in Mustafa securing the lead with 643 votes. Shaker Allah trailed closely with 640 votes.

The unofficial election results have revealed the successful candidates across multiple seats, showcasing the varying voter preferences. These results stand as a reflection of the democratic mandate exercised by the citizens of the district.
