Live reports: latest roads situation in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Following are the latest updates, as per witness reports, on the situation of roads in Islamabad:

-Containers have been placed on the road from Rawat to Islamabad.

-Srinagar Highway road has been blocked at Zero Point.

-Expressway Khanna Bridge has also been blocked by containers.

-Road from Shakarparian to I-8 is blocked as well.

-Road from Golra Mor to GT Road has been sealed with containers.

-Chongi No. 26 has also been completely closed for traffic.

-Containers have also been placed on Airport Road.

-Margalla Avenue blocked by placing containers on E-11 sector side.

-Iran Avenue exit to D-12 blocked with containers. (One lane of Iran Avenue left open for E-7 and D-12 entry).

-Road in front of Faizabad blocked

ACROSS COUNTRY

-Rawalpindi: roads leading from Rawalpindi City and Chakri to Adiala Jail closed.

-Lahore: entry and exit points sealed; Babu Sabu interchange closed.

-Sargodha: All four motorway interchanges closed.

-Gujranwala: all entry and exit points sealed.

-Daska: road connecting to Gujranwala closed near Nandipur.

-Sialkot: all entry and exit routes closed. (Sambrial-Sialkot-Lahore Motorway closed for traffic; Sialkot-Sambrial GT Road also closed by placing containers)

-Chiniot: roads from Chenab River closed for traffic.

-Chiniot: road from Chenab Nagar Toll Plaza closed with dumpers.

-Kohat: main road connecting Kohat and Punjab closed from Punjab side.

-Sadiqabad: containers placed at the border of Punjab and Sindh, at Kot Sabzal in Rahim Yar Khan and Daawala.

-Nowshera: containers placed on the Attock Bridge in Khairabad area to completely block the road.

-Swabi: containers placed on the Ghazi Barotha Canal, motorway.
