Motorways M-3, M-5, M-11 closed due to low visibility


The motorway police announced the closure of several motorways—M-3 and M-5—due to dense fog causing low visibility.

ISLAMABAD: The National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) announced the closure of several motorways—M-3, M-5 and M-11—due to dense fog causing low visibility.

Motorway M-3, connecting Lahore to Jaranwala, is currently closed, along with the Lahore-Sialkot motorway—M-11

Similarly, motorway M-5 from Sher Shah Multan to Zahir Pir was also shut downed to commuters.

A spokesperson for the motorway police stated that the closures were necessary to ensure public safety and to facilitate safe travel.

The spokesperson added that lane violations in foggy conditions could lead to serious accidents. They urged the public to avoid unnecessary travel during late night hours.
